Jim Geschke has served as president of Waterland LLC since 2007. Waterland provides consulting services in the areas of corporate strategy and business development and also works with inventors and entrepreneurs to commercialize new technologies.
Before joining Waterland, Geschke worked at Johnson Controls where his most recent assignment was as vice president and general manager, electronics – North America.
Geschke joined Prince Corporation of Holland, Michigan in 1992 as chief engineer of electronics, Prince was acquired by Johnson Controls in 1996. He served in roles of increasing responsibility including director of global business development and product planning and vice president of electronics integration.
Before joining Johnson Controls, Geschke served as director of sales and marketing for Kantus, an interior trim and electronics supplier located in Detroit, Michigan. He began his professional career with Chrysler Corporation, where he spent 14 years in various management positions of increasing responsibility.
In 1976, Geschke earned a bachelor of science degree in electrical engineering from Wayne State University in Detroit, Michigan. He earned a master’s of business administration degree, with an emphasis in marketing from the University of Detroit-Mercy in 1990.
He is a member of the Society of Automotive Engineers, and holds six patents for interior electronics and electrical products. He has served on the Convergence Transportation Electronics Association Board, Brandmotion Board and on the Executive Board for the Consumer Electronics Association.
